St. Paul’s Lutheran Church is a 501(c)(3) charitable religious organization, as designated by the IRS. Contributions to St. Paul’s can be tax-deductable under IRS rules. Our Tax ID number is 16-6002724. See the IRS webpage about churches and religious organizations for more information.

Giving to St. Paul’s is confidential. Your contributions will be reviewed only by the tellers who count and deposit collections, and the Financial Secretary who records donations and sends reports to contributors every six months or on request. The Treasurer and Council compile and review only aggregate giving data.

Undesignated financial contributions are assigned to the Operating Fund from which our regular expenses (staff salaries, utilities, insurance, basic upkeep) are paid. You may designate part of your contribution to include the Synod Mission Fund which is then sent to the Upstate NY Synod to support their activities and those of the ELCA national church organization.

There are many ways to contribute financially to support the work of St. Paul’s.

· Cash or check – You may drop your contribution into the offering plate during worship service or mail it to the church at any time. If you do not have offering envelopes and would like some, please ask the Pastor or contact the church office.
