At St. Paul's we have a very fine Christian Education program that offers something for every age group, from infant to adult. Our Christian Education program is overseen by Church Council members Shawndra Langlotz and Lori Lorenz and includes each of the following:

Sunday SchoolMrs. Dodd's Kindergarten Class
The foundation of our church is our children, for they will grow up to be the future. Our Sunday school currently uses a program “rotation” style learning program, designed to provide the children with a variety of activities around one story or theme, therefore promoting the child’s understanding of the theme or story. The first week of the month, the story is read or acted out to the children by the Pastor. The second and third week, the story is discussed and reviewed with the children. Each Sunday starts with a gathering where the children pray and sing songs then are separated by groups to start their activities. It could be a craft, drama, cooking, science or music related to the story or theme. The fourth Sunday of the month, the children attend the 9:00 a.m. worship service with their parents or guardian. This not only allows families to participate in church together, but also allows the children to experience the church service, while the congregation gets to enjoy what the children have learned in Sunday school.

Adult Education
We always have numerous Adult Education opportunities going on.  Check out the Adult Education page for more.

LYO
LYO (Lutheran Youth Organization) is an important part of the church and the youth take part in many activities in and around the church as well as the community. Take a look at the LYO page of our web site for more information and a list of coming events.

HEARTS AFIRE
HEARTS AFIRE is a monthly service planned by teens for teens. It's an area-wide service with participants from over seven churches. Each month a planning team meets to put together the service. Teens do everything from reading the lessons to writing and acting out dramas, taking up the offering and distributing communion. HEARTS AFIRE services are held on one Sunday each month at 6 p.m. Pizza and soda is served afterward.

MOPS
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a dynamic program designed to nurture mothers with children from infancy through kindergarten. Please see our MOPS page for more information.

Confirmation Classes
Confirmation classes are for our 7th & 8th graders who are preparing for Confirmation. Students study the Christian faith and Lutheran traditions over a two year period prior to being confirmed into membership of the church. These classes are a tradition in the Lutheran Church and a learning time worthy of parent support.

Nursery
The goal of our church nursery is to provide a safe and caring environment for children, ensure that children's church times are happy times, and to provide a foundation for their developing faith. We have 2 adult volunteers in the Nursery every Sunday during the 9:00 worship service. This is to allow parents the opportunity to enjoy the worship service while knowing that their children are being taken care of by caring individuals.

Cradle Roll
The Cradle Roll has been implemented and is being followed up by Lisa Edwards. The curriculum being used is called Splash, which is written by Augsburg Fortress. Each Splash Pack contains 12 monthly newsletters, called Parent Pages, and a music CD. Each one is ready to mail monthly. This is an easy way to stay connected to busy families.
