St. Paul's and Our People



Easter is part of the Great Reversal. We’re used to life leading to death, lowered hopes and expectations as we age, diminished capacity as we grow weary. But Easter reverses all that. Easter is all about life springing from death, about the great hope and expectation of eternal life, and limitless capacity beyond the confines of the grave. Diana Butler-Bass, in her book, Christianity after Religion, tells of a friend who e-mailed her and said: “You’ve got to see this. It made me realize there is hope.” It was a poem entitled “Lost Generation”.
